Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 First Look: Unboxing & Review

*IN DEPTH WRITTEN REVIEW IS HERE: www.mlgpro.com So here is an exclusive first look at the brand new headset from Turtle Beach, the X11. A few bullet points to go over the headset. -For those worrying about comfort, this headset is very comfortable. The earpads have a large oval shape, and go in quite deep. I find these more comfortable than HPX's and the X31's/X41's -The sound quality was surprisingly decent from what I was expecting. Footsteps in MW2 were clear, but still, the sound stage/3d positioning of the X11 won't match higher end headsets like the HPX. -This headset has numerous features and they work out quite well. The mic monitoring feature worked out nicely. It is at a level that you don't notice anything going into the mic until you actually speak. Sort of like it's noise canceling. The game and chat volume control also work easily and effective as a solution to balancing those 2 sounds. The microphone itself is very flexible and is heard loud and clear on xbox live. -One of the things to note is that because of the USB power, this headset is a pain to make usable at MLG events if you are in the Amateur bracket. Also makes listening to music very restricting. I didn't even bother listening to music on this honestly. This is strictly a gaming headset. What's also bad about the USB and the amplification is the background noise. It isn't noticeable in game, but if you're in the xbox dashboard you can distinctly hear background noise.
